Roadsterites, I just got back my rear axles from a "shop" - I use that term loosely and the idiots damaged my axles while cutting off the bearing retainer collars. They took a torch to it and blew through the collar into the shaft. Grrrrrrr... The damage is about 1/8th deep if that, and maybe 1/4 " long. So...are the axles knackered, or can I re-use them? Given the amount of meat that is on them it does not seem to be a big deal, but I thought I'd check with the experts. Anyone run across that problem and have any opinions? Thanks...Michael |
