I was wondering what the best setup is to insure cooling system operation to
be at it's best. I have a 65 1500 with stock cooling system. 4 blade fan,
original radiator, etc. I noticed that the radiator core is only about a 1
1/2" thick. Would having a radiator shop add the additonal 1" to the frame of
the radiator help things or would this impede air flow? What about a electric
fan? My engine never overheats but it seems to run hotter than it should.
Or... are there better things (than modifying the radiator) that can be done
to insure the engine runs cool? Just wondering. Thanks
