I seem to recall that someone was attempting to place a CD changer in the
stock speaker box that hangs on the firewall above the passenger foot-well.
Was this ever done successfully?
Or how about fabricating a new radio console for the CD changer. A new
design would allow one to move the mounts for the various controls to
another location (heater/fan knob, choke, S/B knob, etc.). Who has done
this already? I know others have completely removed the radio console; they
must have relocated the controls to someplace else.
