Why Miata Seats?

Hello List,

I have seen quite a few threads on Miata seat swaps now, and I was just 
wondering why everyone is going with them? Is it an issue of 
fit...cost...looks...? Has anyone had success with any other types of 
seats? If someday I were to replace the seats in the roadster I would 
definitely like to find something that won't sit me up any higher since I 
am pretty tall.
