had a really enjoyable week down in Virginia. stopped on the way down to see a
friend whose single carb 1500 I've been wanting for years- he tells me "had to
get it moved, just yesterday made a deal to sell that and the 1600 to a guy
who used to work for me" realized it was my last chance and contacted the
other guy- bought the 1500. I haven't seen it for a couple years, but if all
the stuff is there it has a NOS grille, some other goodies, and an overhauled
engine waiting to go back in the car. not sure of serial # until title comes
in the mail, think it's #SRL310 00260. picked up a '68 2000 with a 1600 engine
in it, brought that down to virginia, and oh yeah- had to buy a trailer so I
could move them. picked up a tilt-bed for $600. so I'm just all smiles right
now....:-) even got a pump in and the plumbing fixed so there's running water
in the house down there again.
