You don't. If those pins are nicked, bent, or missing it's time for a
new caliper. They control the 'pullback' of the pads when you take
your foot off the pedal, so they are important.
I don't know if they can be replaced as part of a resleeve job.
New calipers were still available a few months ago (who knows
these days!) for about $65 dealer list. For a full-on restoration
check out http://www.hyedracyl.com but wear ear plugs (your
wallet will scream)
