Adding my two cents worth, remember that if you cut the coils, they'll be
even stiffer than they are now and you'd be reducing your limited
suspension travel more. I guess it's a shame that we can get dropped
spindles similar to the pieces that low riders and trucks often use. On a
strut suspension you can also relocate the spring seat and run shorter
shock inserts so you can drop the car without sacrificing travel. Don't
forget the alignment and geometry issues that need to be looked at when
doing something like this.
