Sure. Go to the auto parst store and get a male/male coupling and splice the
two hoses together with it. I did this once when my heater core started
leaking and I didn't have the money to get it fixed. Drove the whole winter
with no heater/defroster. Never again.

Subject: heater re-work option
Hey all,
I need to get my heater in working order, and am thinking of removing it for
re-painting and general re-furb (valve, door flaps, etc). Only thing is, I
still wanna be able to drive my car. Can I take the two hoses that go
in/out of the heater core and join them, making a loop? Then I'll have the
time to do things nicely.
thanks for the advice on the exhaust and seat placement,
