Alex,
I never used epoxy paint except on concrete floors and it worked well. The
paint I was talking about is a moisture cured urethane. I painted my oil pan
in/out, my thermo housing top and all my suspension pieces with it about 10
years ago and no rust and still as shiny as when new. BTW, it needs no
undercoating either and it is better if the part is slightly rusted, but
that is not necessary.
