Aahh, come on Calspeed - pick on someone your own size.
The 914 is a Volkswagen, they only marketed it as a Porsche because they didn't
think that
anyone would believe a sports car from VW at the time. If you check one out
you'll notice
that nowhere on the car does the Porsche crest appear, just the word "Porsche".
That was
Porsche's way of maintaining their pride after being forced to sell the car on
the same
dealership floors as the 911! Now, the 914-6 is a different matter, as Marc
brings up in
his reply - it had the famous flat-6 power and was a force to be reckoned with.
