If that's the extreme you want to take it to Calvin go right ahead. ;-) :O)
I guess it was MY bust when I posted because I was thinking of MEK in it's
purity (one to fifty gallon size liquid containers) along with the sheets that
I read on a particular brand at that time. It was just something I remembered
being a common household and workplace item that we searched out during
inspections for toxic chemicals. Most people liked to use it to clean the
grease off their bodies just like Trike or Toluene.
But then it's in a lot of things like your filler. Lacquer Thinner comes to
mind which also has Toluene in it. How many people still clean their arms and
hands with lacquer thinner? I see it quite often.
All I'm saying to the uninformed of the List is wear the proper safety
equipment for the product you are using if you care anything about your health
and the loved ones that may be around you at the time.
Whether it be impact or splash goggles, leather or chemical gloves, hardhat or
ear protection, full plastic face sheild or welders shield, just wear what will
keep you safe.
MEK, Trich, Toluene are toxic chemicals and as with all toxic chemicals their
toxicity and health hazard vary with the product they are in due to whatever
formula the manufacturer is using. Just be informed of what you are using.
You can search out what you want to know by product name or manufacturer to
find out what health hazards exist for that particular brand. Material Safety
Data Sheets (MSDS) apply only to the brand it was written for.
A good starting place for the uninformed would be the following:

If I remember correctly, Ross had taken a co-worker in for an eye injury not to
long ago. It's my understanding that he is doing well and my hope that he
wears safety goggles when needed.
Okay, I got off the soap box, just be safe. :O)
