Nissan is funny that way. My 65 L-320 pick up is pos earth with the carbon
pile regulator. I wonder if they needed to use them up?

Thanks for the correction.
Funny thing is my '63 Bluebird had an alternator with
a replacement regulator. The original carbon pile
regulator was in the glovebox. I had forgotten about
the positive ground alternators (diodes are just wired
different).
