Many cars have an extra injector in the intake somewhere
that acts somewhat like a choke. If this extra injector
goes bad you might get symptoms like hard starting and
fuel leakage, although not much fuel could leak without
the pump running. I would suggest pouring a can of
Chemtool in the tank and hoping that the injector cures
itself. Make sure you have pleanty of gas in there. I
poured a whole can in a motorcycle tank with three
gallons of gas. It sure did clean it well. It even
cleaned the electrodes off the sparkplugs.
