To the List,
For those MADROC folks who are NOT going to Watkins Glen....

The 7th Annual Gathering of Z Faithful Eastern Regional Z-Car and
Roadster Show (a.k.a. the ZCCNV Annual Car Show) will take place on
Saturday, September 9, 2000, so get your car shined up! These events
are really fun and this one is really pretty easy since we are, once
again, doing our show as a part of the Lions Club Auto Show at the
Laurel Thoroughbred Track in Laurel, MD. They take care of the lot,
provide food and entertainment, award trophies, and generally do the
hard work. We had a really terrific show last year (check out the
photos from last year's show) and plan to do even better this year.
Mark the date on your calendar NOW!! Registration 8:00am to 12:00noon
Directions: 22 miles from Washington or Baltimore on Route 198 in
Laurel, MD. 3 miles off I-95 (Exit 33A); 1 mile off I-295 (Baltimore
Washington Parkway)(Exit Rt. 198/Laurel).

I talked to Mike Bell the ZCCNV (Z-Car Club of Northern Virginia)
President about the show and roadsters etc. Apparently, two years ago
the show was changed to this weekend to be part of the Lion Club show
and the roadsters disappeared. Well, they didn't know about the Glen
roadster weekend [now they do]. Hopefully next year the two events
won't coincide.
I'll be going (10:30am ish), so hopefully other roadster owners who
don't have long distance plans will join me. Don't want to be the
only one there.
By the way, Mike Bell just bought a white w/ red interior 1968 1600
for a steal that he will be restoring (from my neighbors son, a long
story for another time). If he does anything like his 240Z, it will
be very nice when done. I gave him the info on the list and various
sites and vendors. So, another one to welcome to the fold.
Safe journeys to those traveling to the Glen
Take care,

P.S. MADROCer's keep Sunday October 1 open, SVRA Vintage Races at
Summit Point. I'm working with Mark Dent and the ZCCNV to coordinate
a run to the track, probably meeting somewhere in Tysons Corner,
Virginia. Will post to the list when finalized.
