A great place to get your wheels cleaned is at an 18 wheeler car wash place - where the trucker drops off the truck and someone else cleans it. They put wheel brite on the wheel - a very mild acid - it really shines them up - removes old paint etc.... costs about $2-5.00 per wheel takes about 15 minutes you give them the dirty nasty looking wheel - they give you back a great looking cleaned wheel.
