I purchased a Lincoln Mig Weld-Pac 100 from Home Depot for $300. It's a
wirefeed mig but uses flux-core wire instead of requiring a shielding gas,
like Argon. It welds steel great although you would need to convert it to
Argon to weld stainless or aluminum. The conversion kits for this welder
were about $100-plus gas (probably another $150 for Argon!). For what I do,
it is sufficient. With a little practice, it has been extemely easy to use.
