Howdy all,
I'm having some problems in setting idle on my
solex's. In the shop manual, it says to screw-in the
throttle stop screw and set RPMs around 700, then to
adjust the pilot screw until highest rpm is achieved,
go back to the throttle stop screw and re-iterate the
process a few times. I end up with the trottle stop
screws completely backed off and RPMs above 1000.
At this point, the Unisyn measures no flow in the
carbs. If i leave the throttle stop screwed in and
adjust the pilot screw for low rpm, the mixture is too
lean and the carbs "sneeze".
What's wrong? How do you adjust them ? my jets are
180 air, 145 main and 57.5 pilot -
Thanks for any input,
Stephan
