Actually," Datsun" was only known as such in foreign markets, AFAIK. The parent
company
has always been Nissan. Why they ID'd the roadster engine as "Nissan" vice
"Datsun" I
don't know - my old PL521 truck, which was the same year as my Roadster (1970),
had
"Datsun" on the valve cover.
