For various reasons, it's time to part with
SPL 311 20594 1600, 1968
I got it about a year ago and had the brakes done to pass inspection. It's
registered in Texas. Got a new top to keep the rain out but didn't grommet
the side holes. Engine runs strong, 4 speed could use some work (it's
rough). At one point the right front fender got a ding - you can tell the
fender bracket is a little crumpled and it the entire car had a cheap paint
job probably ten yrs ago. It's a lot of fun, but not a "showpiece".
Still, the wife will go on a date in it when it's not too hot (or cold).
Appears to have only 99,600 miles (3 k/yr?). No rust that I've discovered,
I suspect this car has been in Texas most of it's life (prior 2 owners were
in Round Rock and Marble Falls).
$2700 would be a good starting point, it's listed in Trader Online - It's
red with black upholstery (and seat covers). No major restoration has been
done, but it's in good shape for it's age.
