Leigh,

Sorry to hear of the mishap, hope the damage isn't very bad to your 
beautiful OTD.

In regards to our Datsun roadsters, I found some cheap insurance. My 
Blondee has those JC Whitless fog lamps. When a car backs into the front 
end the first thing it hits are those fog lamps, and the breaking glass 
makes the most awful crunching sound like major body damage is 
happening. The offender will hear and feel it immediately. The fog lamp 
glass is only $3 or so. I've had this happen twice, with no damage to 
the grille or sheet metal.
