Hoon,
You should not keep the clutch in for extended time especially at traffic
lights and such as it puts mucho strain on the springs of the diaphram and
will cause premature clutch failure.
BTW, my car does that too when I'm stuck for a long time but it only bumps
up about 200 RPM.
