For all you roadsterites within driving distance of Fort Worth, Texas, I
want to invite you to the TDROC Spring Fling. Jerry Weiner is this year's
rallymaster, weiner@writeme.com , and he can fix you up with all the
details. We'll meet informally Friday night, May 7th, at the Executive Inn
on Camp Bowie Boulevard (US 377 South) to swap stories and kick tires.
Saturday we'll meet at a nearby Denny's, then at 9:00 take a scenic drive to
arrive at the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District. I think
that's where John Wayne started the Chisum Trail Cattle Drive through Indian
Territory to Branson, Missouri. (Maybe I've seen too many movies)
There are still rooms available (call Executive Inn at 817-560-2831), and we
welcome anyone who wants to attend, with or without Roadster. We should
have several new-to-us cars, and a few for sale. If you need a part tell us
and someone will bring it.
We give door prizes during the Saturday night meeting (after the dinner at
JoJo's), so if you want a prize, bring a prize. (about $5)
We can easily have 30 roadsters if you will call someone and the two of you
drive up for the day. Calspeed, I don't expect you, but you can call
someone if you want to. Ronnie Day, I do expect you, unless something
really important interferes. I've already talked to Tom Walter and Pat
Horne, and I think they're coming. Mike Adams and I will be there. Gary
Neel, the Roadster Maniac from Oklahoma, is also coming. Anybody else
coming, let me know. See you this weekend.
