Any excuse to get Datsun Roadsters together for a meetworks for me! Sounds
like you have a good thing going there. All I ask is to make sure you take
PLENTY of pics to share with the rest of us roadster junkies!

All,
I've already received several messages from people interested in meeting in
Gatlinburg. It looks like this stands a shot at being an event. Most have
asked
about dates, and some have suggested making it early to avoid the mid summer
heat. So let's go ahead and work towards a date.
I looked at the Gatlinburg online calender to see if we could time things to
coincide with some other interesting attraction, and the only thing that
even
looks remotely interesting is the Scottish Festival and Games on the weekend
of
May 20. I don't know about the rest of you, but given the choice to see
either a
Blue Grass Festival, or a bunch of drunk guys in skirts throwing logs at
each
other, I'll take the latter.
So, how does the weekend of May 20th sound to everyone? Other than the above
mentioned event, there is nothing inspired about that date. So, if anyone
would
prefer another date, please suggest it.
Once we decide on a date, and can guage the number of people who plan to be
there, we can discuss where we prefer to stay (i.e. hotel, cabins, or
chalets)
and I will work to negotiate a group rate. Anyone who has a familiarity with
the
area (I've only been there once), please feel free to suggest a better local
for
ammenities. Meaning, if it is better to stay in a neighboring community
because
the hotels or cabins are much cheaper, please share the info.
