I am planning on making the same mod. The aircleaner apparatus can be
purchased at almost any parts store. If I'm not mistaken, these can be
purchased in either 5" or 6". A simple generic K&N filter can then be used.
It appears that slight modification is needed to attach the base to the
carbs. I also plan on cutting the airhorns off a spare 2000 SU filter
assembly (trashed) and welding them onto the new assembly to get the correct
airflow. My original reason for the mod was to avoid having to dolly out
the inner fender when dropping a U20 in a low-windshield-but who can forget
the chance for an inexpensive and easily replaceable K&N setup!!
FWIW
