You can use a distributor off a R16 411. Of course you will not
have the tachometer drive. ;-(

As to my 'other swap' of getting a distributor off a rear wheel
drive Dasun 210 (1980 vintage), I use PARTS of that distributor,
with the SHAFT of the roadster distributor. Machine a couple of
items (simple screw and thrust washers)... viola. Electronic
Ignition distributor for the R16/U20. No a simple swap, but
doable.

For most folks I recommend keeping a stock (w/ 67 model year
advance weights & springs) distributor and using a MSD-6A
ignition module. If the electronic module dies, you still have
a stock point distributor (just rehook up the ballast resistor).

Cheers,

Tom
