Yes.
        The longer the better, but at LEAST overnight in a warm location. 
Better would be about a week.  Seriously.  If you don't, you'll probably
get to do it all over again, 'cause the seal won't conform well, and
will bind to the crankshaft.  Then you'll get chunks of seal stuck to
your oil pickup, and a right geyser out the rear of the motor.  
Been there, car won't rust now!
