Mike is truly a great man!!
Theres one problem with that plan though! My 66 1600 is in San Jose almost
the heart of BADROC area! I really appreciate the great idea though. Im in
SoCal with my Triumph TR4 which is already more than I can handle so the
Datsun is in San Jose at my parents place waiting patiently for me to move
back up north. Basically the idea of a 5 speed does arouse me in some way
(whoa did I just say arouse?) but in this case I would much rather see it go
to someone in the group that would actually put it to good use. I have so
much other work to do before I can even dream about shifting through the
gears. Knowing me it would just sit with my 1600 for another 10 years!
Looking at your plan though I do have another idea... If BADROC so desires
they can have the 5speed and miscellaneous parts in hope that they might be
willing to lend me a hand when time comes to rebuild my 1600!
Or even just allowing me to drive the fine vehicle that it goes into just
for a moment! =) its been 8 years since I drove my 1600.
If anyone is interested or can think of a better plan please oh please fill
us in!
thanks
David Lee
