List Members,
Take a look at the message below that I pulled from the DEEP archives. Does
anyone have a clue as to what this device is, did, and is it still available
and suggested?

Subject: Oil filter pipe
I picked up my 15214-01M00 for about $4.50 on Saturday and installed it. It
does seem to reduce the chain rattle on warm start substantially, although
sometimes it's still barely detectable. The pipe is a bit more
sophisticated than what was described. It is a rolled and brazed steel pipe
with a necked-down area on one end. The other end is cut off at an angle
and has a partial cap brazed on. The necked-down end is a force fit into
the center of the oil filter adapter and I was not able to get it all the
way down to the shoulder, but it's in about ¼ inch and should be secure.
I highly recommend that you get one of these if you don't have one. It's
cheap, easily available, and good for your engine.
