None taken. To each there own.

My mother was in labor with me as she was rushed to
the hospital in a 64 1500. I was born into Datsuns,
literally. Having had my first 240Z at the age 14
1/2, and racing a 280Z non california car in SCCA from
the age of 17 on. I am as Datsun as they come. At
this point I have owned 9 Datsuns and my current 91
Pathfinder.

I will however tell you that you are _sorely_ mistaken
on the power. Maybe the ones youve tried were tired
or something(bad apex seals). I personally drove a
510 with the 13B swap and racing beat equipment(no
turbo) and it was faster than most of the cars at the
CPSCC autox.

By the way when you say heavy steering you cant look
anyone here in the face and say it has heavier
steering than a Z!!! My personal preference for a
_driving_ car is heavy steering. I like to feel every
bump in the road. Both of my RX7s had _much_ lighter
steering than a Z and as far as stock cars go, my
RX7s(12A) could embarass a lot of muscle cars in a
straight line. In the canyons where I grew up
(Mulholland, Decker, Kanan, Latigo, Malibu) the 510 is
king, but a 510 with a rotary is god.

I normally agree with staying Datsun/Nissan on a swap
but the power of a rotary motor would push a Roadster
really well! And a rebuild on my rotaries meant only
replacing the apex seals on 2 of the 3 moving parts in
that motor (2 rotors and a concentric shaft).
Brilliant!
