While were on the subject of brakes, a few questions for any Australians on
the list.
my rear slave cylinders have worn (the bit with the spring clips that hold
it to the backing plate) to the point that applying the hand brake causes
the lever that pushes the shoe pushes it off the backing plate and into the
face of the drum causing loud squeak and heat. Any way where can I get new
rear slave cylinders? I tried the local break shop but they can't help,
also drums are they the same as Z cars are they still available?
I know I can probably get these bits in the US but there must be some in
Australia?
