Glad you did not weld it!
I had a five gallon jug (gas approved) half full of gas ignite in my hand.
The cap was off! It was after that I got into OSHA and learned about
explosion proof lighting. I was lucky though, I had flame retardent clothes
on at the time and was close to a fire extinguisher, and let's not forget
all that shipboard fire fighting I went through. The only ouch I got out of
it was first degree burns to the hands. Please be careful with gas fumes!
