Hello All:
Here I sit at 2:00am CST. I injured the left side of my lower back
several weeks ago. Slow going but I improved over time. This happens to
me several times a year so no big deal, right? Well last Thursday my
partner and I finished a technical writing job mating a Bolens riding
tractor to a sub-contractors snow blower. In the process of loading the
tractor, I blew out the right side of my back. Just call me Richard
Einstein! Can't sleep. Can't work on the roadster. Can't do S%$#! Well,
here's a couple of technical questions I have:
1. What's the type and thread size for the two fittings on the gas tank?
The "out line" threads are stripped which caused me to use rubber fuel
line hose. Since the tank is now leaking at a bottom seam, I want to
remove it, repair the leak and the stripped fitting.
2. Did the 68 2000 come with a console like the 70 1600? My 2000 didn't
have one when I bought it. I have a extra console and would like to
install it. Offers a ashtray, lighter and a place to set a cup of coffee
or soda (pop).
Observation: Has anyone tried to find a radio that fits the roadster
that doesn't have a cassettes player? I've been to Best Buy and Circuit
City and the radios they sell that could possibly fit the roadster all
have a cassette player. I find that the smaller the radio the cheaper
the quality. Having to rotate a cassette player 90 degrees doesn't help
the player function properly. I've had two radios in my 70 and the
cassette has eaten tapes after a few plays.
Thanks
Steve Harvey
