The 96 was introduced in '61 with the 3 cyl, 2 stroke 
engine. The V4 (made by Ford) was added in '67 and the 3 cyl 
was gone by 69. The Ford V4 is a common forklift engine just 
like our roadster engine (required roadster content). :)
