I had my car painted for free, but then my Dad owned a body shop at the
time. I don't know what his shop charged for a paint job, but it was more
than some wanted to pay. So for a lower price he would offer to drive the
cars two doors down to Earl Scheib for their $29.95 dollar paint job.
There are also those on the list who have painted their cars in their
garage or driveway. With a liberal about of rubbing out they did not look
too bad.
