I may have something of interest to the 3 seat 1500 owners. I found that my
parts car had the original seat upholstery in the last remaining original
seat in it. I was able to get enough of the wooden base for the seat
cushion to make an accurate pattern. (Yes folks, the early cars had
fiberglass buckets. The upholstery was glued to the cushion in the back and
on part of the sides while up front there was a plywood panel that the rest
of it glued to. Very interesting setup!)
Anyway, I have had the presence of mind to save the pattern and I will be
happy to make a tracing of it for any 1500 owner out there that may need
it!!
Now I need some help. I broke ALL FOUR BOLTS on the lower passenger door
hinge. The ones that I broke are on the cowl post, not the door. I know
that this panel is "caged", but I don't know how to get to it without
cutting (ugh!) Has anyone gone down that road that can help?
Thanks,
Sid Raper
