....was successfully held today at Alligator Creek National Park, about 20
minutes drive south from Townsville.
This is a lovely natural setting with camping and picnic facilities next to
the creek which drains from Mt Elliot. lat. 19 S. weather was perfect,
perhaps because the local weatherman, who owns the Sylvia, came too.
Present (all rhd):
1970 1600
1968 2000
1965 CSP311 Sylvia
1965 1500
1965 1500 with 1900 Cedric motor
We had to keep a bit of a watch for brush turkeys trying to steal breakfast
from the table. A 4-foot lace monitor (>great big lizard<) also cruised
about looking to see if anyone had dropped something edible.
Nice day.
Many thanks to Ross Mullen of Sports Imports, who offered prizes.
