Stephan, For minor corrosion such as you describe, I would take some Scotch Brite (3M) green and wet it with brake fluid (used is ok) and polish the corrosion out. You could also use "crocus cloth" wetted with brake fluid. Rebuild with new seals and you should be good to go (lube the seals with clean fluid as you assemble). good luck....
