Alternator & fuel bowl

Just a  note on some mail on tonight.  The fuel sediment bowl will run
3/4 to full if  you are using a mechanical pump on the engine,  or full
if the pump is behind the bowl.   The cloth filter in the bowl can plug
(looks like a spring covered with cloth ),but not the bowl it's self .
When I  put in the V6 I left the original alternator but it couldn't
keep up with  the extra load, tape deck, amp, alarm, etc. so I used the
86 alternator.   The original is only 22.5 amps so go with the 60amp
later one it needs only the wire from the bat. and one from the key .
It will also clean up the engine bay some since it is internally
regulated.  Most any late Nissan alternator will work and the wires
should be there from the old alternator just eliminate the wires for the
external regulater.   hope this helps Charles
