greetings all!
I've read Robin Read's "Colin Chapman's Lotus" and
have gleaned all I can from it about Sy Kaback, and
"Grand Prix Motors of East Rutherford, New Jersey."
A gentleman at the current NY based Kaback
Heating/Cooling informs me that Sy wasn't happy when
Lotus sent him new cars with used engines, and that he
shut down Grand Prix Motors mainly because of it.
Funny, that the Lotus Build Record for my Seven
suggests that the original engine was a "Factory
Refurbished" unit...
Anyway, with all the interest in early Lotus cars
someone out there must know something more about this
Kaback fellow and I sure would love to hear about it
if you do.
