Sorry for cluttering stuff - but this is probably of more interest......
I sold some AE 86 Toyota Trueno bits to a Japanese guy today......
The car is actually a 1985 (83?) 'Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-V 16 Valve'.
The car I wrecked 5 years ago when I built the Leitch was a 1983 'Toyota
Corolla Levin GT-V 16 Valve'
So What?
Both cars are identical, except the Trueno has pop up headlights, the Levin
doesn't. Identical colour, trim etc.
Well, it seems that the GT-V comes stock with a close ratio gearbox.......
which may explain why my Leitch can do the speeds in gears it does.
Apparently the 'Apex' designation means it has power steering.....
What I will do (once I yank the motors out) is work out the ratios in the
GT-V and the (unknown source) T-50 I have in the Anglia. If the GT-V is
indead CR, then the 4AGZE will inherit it. May as well suss out the 5K 4a
compatible box as well. stay tuned!
