I do not recall what a 916 is but the 914 has the engine in front of the
rear axle and if I remember correctly, the gearbox behind the axle.
Very similar to turning a VW bug setup arround 180 degrees. I have
heard of the 215 engine in the 914 before and heard that you must rework
the body for clearance, specifically the panel between the engine and
the trunk space. I do not know if the 215 engine fits a 914-6 which has
the flat six engine in it, but if you have the six, why would you want
to change that out as it is a good engine. $1200 sounds good to me for
the entire setup, assuming the engine is good.....
