Rover/Buick V8 reciepient autos

Yea, hearing about other vehicles getting the 3.5L motor is heartening. 
Vegas, MGBs, TR7s, are all good and fine, but what about the oddball?  
A P1800 sounds like a lot of fun with a 3.5L if it would work.
A 240Z would be good to see with a Rover between the rails.
What about a GT6 or a Spitfire??  I have one of both and a couple spare
Rover V8s, I think I would only tackle the GT6.  
Any suggestions, experience, or hell nos, are all wellcome.
