Boy, I sure do!
I turn on my turn signals to "advise" the people around me that I intend to
turn or change lanes soon.
The brake lights serve the same function. I'm "advising" the people behind
me that I'm slowing my vehicle down, and perhaps even stopping.
In both cases, I sure hope they notice the signaled advisory I'm sending
out.
Why I've even been known to flash my brake lights several times before
hitting the brakes just to hopefully get the attention of people in back of
me. This is particularly true when I see we're coming up on a stopped
traffic situation on the interstate highway. Since I don't like being
rearended, I try to "advise" other drivers of events they may not see or be
aware of.
