Last Sunday the wife and I paid a visit to Rancho San Antonio Park, an
open space preserve in the eastern Santa Cruz Mountains foothills in the
South San Francisco Bay Area. While our main purpose for going there was
to do a some hiking, I got side tracked a bit when I spotted a Morgan in
the parking area. I would guess it was of mid 60's vintage because of its
yellow-on-black CA plates. It had a two tone cream and brown paint job,
which appeared original. Besides the fact that spotting a car like this
is pretty uncommon these days, it had one special feature that was
particularly unusual. Strapped to the hood was a large plastic gray rat.
I'm wondering if the owner or someone who knows the owner happens to be on
this list. I'm kind of curious about this car's hood ornament. One
additional feature I noticed about the car was a small decal on the
windshield with the words Peirspeed Morgan Santa Cruz, or something like
that.

Speaking of unusual sightings, a few months back I was driving on the PCH
north of Half Moon Bay and spotted what appeared to me to be a pre war MG,
perhaps a TA? It veered off onto the El Granada exit, so I'm guessing
that might be where the owner lives. Or perhaps he was just heading for
one of the back road in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Don't suppose that
car's owner is on the list?
