Cool - I'm having serious flashbacks.
I wasn't on at the *very* beginning, but when I discovered the british-cars
list in '91 I thought I had found Brit-Car-Heaven.
Seeing the names Phil Ethier, "TATERRY", T. J. Higgins, Roger Garnett, Roland
Dudley, Berry Kercheval, Mike Rambour, and TeriAnn Wakeman (just to name a
few) makes me feel like I'm sitting in front of the VT220 that was connected
to a departmental MicroVAX. Now I just need to see a few quips from Scott
Fisher, Bob Bownes, Roger Bolick and Jim Muller to complete the effect. (I
still have a folder full of Scott Fisher prose into which I occasionally dip.)
And what's with the Miatas? Yes, I've been tempted, but I ended up elsewhere.
While I still have a Triumph (TR6, in pieces), since that time I've bought and
sold an XJ6, and now have a new Mini Cooper that is really a hoot.
