Yes, the british-cars list is fairly quiet with most traffic going on
in the various marque or model specific groups these days. But here's
something that you might find mildly amusing.
At the British Motor Club of Utah's halloween party Madam Lucas, Diagnostic
Wizard, was seen wandering about with her crystal headlight conversing with
various car owners. Here's a picture of her offering her wisdom to a car
owner trying to nurse his ride back to health:

I see a small short in your wiring - or is that a small wire

Dimness ... flickering ... everything looks normal to me!

Ack - I can't see a thing, those exhaust fumes are stinging my eyes!
My, what pretty sparks! Did you wire the dashboard yourself?

I might get a reading once all that smoke clears!
