Welcome to capitalism.

A former neighbor of mine is a cabinet maker.  He is very good.  He got so
busy he never had a chance to see his family.  He raised his prices until he
was making more money and working something closer to a normal work week.

(By the way, he did a great job laminating the koa dashboard in my Lotus to
a proper piece of 9-ply.)

If folks want to set up shop to do a fine job cheaper than White Post,
nobody is stopping them.  If nobody does, maybe White Post is worth what
they get.
