Suggestions:
1/ Lie. Say it was in bits when you bought it. Hopefully the guy has not
read your posts to the list!
2/ New manifold. With the vibration it is unlikely to seal properly. While
your at it get a nice tubular one.
3/ Yes, chuck the AC away. That's what convertible tops are for. Must be
worth a few horsepower, not to mention the reduced weight!
4/ Hard to tell without bolting the caps back up properly.
5/ New clutch. No point saving a few pennies only to have to pull it apart
again soon.
