In the Motoring section of the Daily Telegraph Newspaper here in the UK
dated Sat May 20th 2000, a question was asked by a reader regarding the
possible saving of £3500.00 by buying a Land Rover Freelander in Holland,
and was concerned about the reduced warranty of only 12 months offered in
Holland in contrast to the 36 months warranty if purchased from an official
UK Landrover Dealer.
The answer was " Judging from the 90 files of complaint we ( The Daily
Telegraph ) received about Land Rover trouble following our appeal in
March, I would not recommend anyone to buy a Land Rover without the full UK
factory/ dealer 36 month warranty ".
I quote this for information only as I am not a Land Rover fan and have no
experience of Land Rover ownership.
