Greetings Robert and fellow Morris enthusiasts

Greetings from the Deep South, where British cars, aside from Minors, are
driven with pride on a frequent basis. It is true that the streets of
Dunedin are regular travels for Minors but many other makes are also found.

I have just returned from an Oxford parts hunt to Oamaru (North Otago, South
Island, New Zealand for all you overseas types) where I found a wreckers
yard with a complete series III for sale for only $100. Needless to say it
is no longer for sale!! And in the same town, just a few miles up the road,
I found the president of the local stock car club who had (I think) about 10
Oxfords (and an ISIS) in various states of repair. His fleet included two MO
cars, three MO utes with one probably three quarters restored (but for
sale), two Series III utes and two SIII cars. Amongst all of this there was
a Mk1 jag, an old Vauxhall and numerous piles of bits and pieces.

Anyway, given your obvious enthusiasm for Oxfords, and your imminent need
(possibly) of some parts, I thought I would offer to source these for you if
possible. I will be travelling to and from Oamaru from time to time for my
own needs so if I can assist a fellow Oxford enthusiast then please let me
know.

At present my fleet is small (until today). Just 6 months ago I purchased a
'57 SIII with an original 73,000 miles. It had been garaged for the past 4
years after having failed a wof for rust and loose steering. The previous
owner had completely repaired the front end and then retired her car to
blocks in her son's garage. I have had all of the rust removed and will soon
be using her almost daily to travel the streets of Dunedin.

I am also currently negotiating to buy 2+ 1936 Morris 12s. These wee
beauties have no rust and have been garaged for a long time!

Anyway, let me know if parts are required and I am happy to oblige.

Safe motoring.

Steve
